abstract The subject of the present invention, as new industrial products, is 1,2,4-triazole derivatives. It also relates to a process for the preparation of these compounds which consists in treating alpha -amino- alpha -R ** 4-formylidèn-phenylhydrazine with NH3 to give alpha -amino- alpha -R ** 4-formylidene- phenylhydrazine, then cyclizing the latter with phosgene or thiophosgene to obtain 1-phenyl-3-R ** 4- 1,2,4-triazol-5-one (or thione). It relates to derivatives of 1,2,4-triazol-5-ones or -thiones and their preparation process.
