Water-insoluble three-dimensional crosslinked random copolymers, characterized in that they contain, in copolymerized form: a. 25% to 98% by weight of N-Øtris (hydroxymethyl) methylõ acrylamide or N-Øtris (hydroxymethyl) methylõ methacrylamide, or a mixture of these two compounds; b. 2% to 50% by weight of one or more monomers having more than one polymerizable ethylenic double bond and one or more hydroxy groups, and free of NH2 or COOH group; vs. 0% to 50% by weight of one or more monomers having a polymerizable ethylenic double bond and one or more amino or carboxylic groups. These copolymers can be used, in the form of aqueous gels, as supports in separation techniques such as permeation chromatography. |
