abstract A fungicidal composition which contains as an active ingredient an N-benzoyl anthranilate compound of formula I, wherein X is hydrogen or 3-halogen or 3-methoxy, 4-methoxy , 2-4-dimethoxy, 3,4-dimethoxy, -halogeno-4-methoxy, 3,4-methylene-dioxy or 3,5-dimethoxy and R is a hydrogen atom or a 1-7 C alkyl group , 3-6 C cycloalkyl, 2-4 C alkenyl, 1-3 C haloalkyl, 1-4 C alkoxyalkyl in the alkoxy radical and 1-4 C in the alkyl radical or N, N-dialkoylaminoalkyl at 1- 2, C in the first alkyl radical and 1-4 in the second alkyl radical, and an inert excipient; preparation and use as a fungicide. Applications: fight against powdery mildew or powdery mildew type diseases affecting agricultural and horticultural crops such as cereals, fruit plants, vegetables and ornamental plants and which are caused by phytopathogenic fungi.
