abstract The invention relates to a method of making sodium percarbonate. The process has two steps: 1 degrees Sodium percarbonate is precipitated from a solution containing silicate so as to obtain a particulate precipitate containing a limited amount of silicate in and through the particles. 2 degrees Sufficient silicate is deposited on the surface of the particles to improve resistance to external contaminants. The sodium percarbonate thus obtained is used in detergent compositions.
