abstract Process for the synthesis of mixed polyimino derivatives of aluminum and alkaline earth metals, and means for carrying out this process. To prepare these derivatives, the aluminum, an amine, the alkaline earth metal or its hydride or its amide are reacted in the presence of hydrogen, the reaction being initiated using an activating agent in hydrocarbon solvents or ethers solvents. This process also makes it possible to obtain magnesium-amides used, for example, as a catalyst for the polymerization of methacrylonitrile.
