abstract The present invention relates to an improved process for the preparation of hydroxytelechelic polymers. The method according to the invention consists in carrying out the polymerization of monomers capable of reacting by radical initiation in the presence of a peroxide-alcohol system as initiator, in an alcoholic medium under operating conditions such that the alcohol cannot play the role of precipitating in the reaction medium. The process according to the invention makes it possible to obtain polymers with an average molecular mass of between 1000 and 20,000, free from high polymers.
