Process for manufacturing a separator for an electrochemical cell, characterized in that a copolymer of acrylonitrile with a small amount of comonomer is dissolved in N, N-dimethylformamide so as to form a solution containing 4 to 12% by weight of the aforementioned copolymer, the resulting copolymer solution is then applied to a fabric of fibers so as to impregnate it and the resulting fabric is immersed in an aqueous coagulation bath, the copolymer thus being deposited on the fibers of the fabric and between those -ci by coagulation, so as to form a micro-porous material. |
