abstract Process for preparing suspensions or emulsions of magnesium hydroxide and new products thus obtained. A concentrated milk of magnesia is prepared in the form of a suspension or emulsion, having as active ingredients a paste of magnesium hydroxide and an effective amount of a pharmaceutically acceptable agent, soluble in water, this agent being a an alkali metal or ammonium salt of a phosphoric acid, an alkali metal or ammonium salt of a polycarboxylic acid and / or an alkaline earth metal salt of a polycarboxylic acid, the effective amount of this agent being such that the composition has a consistent flowable state. The present invention is particularly useful for providing suspensions or concentrated emulsions of milk of magnesia, good presentation for pharmaceutical use.
