titleOfInvention | PROCESS FOR COLORING AND SEALING A BIOLOGICAL SAMPLE |
abstract | Rapid method of staining and sealing a biological sample. It consists of the following steps: a. making a viscous liquid formulation of a transparent resin in a mixture of solvents containing water and an organic compound, this formulation having a viscosity greater than 500 centipoise and less than 3,000 centipoise; b. production of a cover-glass bearing on one side a coating of biological dye; vs. applying a quantity of the viscous liquid formulation to an area of the slide smaller than the area of a coverslip; d. placing the dye coated side of the coverslip on the applied amount of viscous liquid formulation on the slide, leaving the coverslip on the liquid formulation on the slide unmoved to allow the surface tension of the liquid to dump 'attracting the coverslip against the sample and the slide, thereby the stain dissolves in the liquid formulation and is contacted with the stained sample. |
