abstract The invention relates to a method of making a p-aminorylamine or a p-alkylaminoarylamine. This process involves contacting a p-nitrosoarylamine with hydrogen in the presence or absence of a ketone and in the presence of an effective amount of a platinum group metal sulfide. This method achieves a much more efficient and economical reduction than previous methods.
