abstract Pref. the dry ratio lignite:cellulosic is 3:1-8:1, and the cellulosic material is derived from paper, boxes etc. A typical compost contains 16-36% lignite, 15-30% sand, 3-13% paper, 20-50% water and 0-12% peat. The composts are prepared by mixing the components vigorously, opt. in the presence of water as a binder. Other materials which may be present include sand and peat.
