titleOfInvention THERAPEUTIC APPLICATION OF INDOLO DERIVATIVES (3,2-C) QUINOLEINE
abstract New therapeutic compsns. contain indole 3,2-c quinolines of formula (I), their 5-n-oxides or their acid addn. salts. In the formula, R1 = H, 1-5C alkyl or dialkylamino-alkyl; R2 = H or halogen; R3 = H, 1-5c alkoxy or OH. A typical cpd. is indolo - 3,2-c quinoline-5-N-oxide. This was prepd. by dissolving 8.5g. 2-(2-nitrophenyl)-3-formyl indole in a mixt. of acetic acid and methanol, and hydrogenating in the presence of 5% Pd on charcoal.
