abstract Pressure sensitive hot melt adhesives consisting of or contg. an amorphous copolymer of (a) propylene and/or 1-butene and (b) 40 to 60 mol % of at least one of 1-hexene, 1-heptene, 1-octene, 1-nonene or 1-decene with a melt viscosity, measured at 190 degrees C of 10,000 to 75,000 cP, a density of 0.85 to 0.86, a glass transition temp. of -30 degrees to -45 degrees C, and having no m.pt. determinable by differential scanning calorimetry. Pref. the copolymers exhibit a melt viscosity of 13,000 to 50,000 gp at 190 degrees C. The adhesive exhibit outstanding adhesive props. and can be applied to various substrates from hot melts, without use of adhesives.
