titleOfInvention DERIVATIVES OF
abstract Basic substd. benzoic acid derivs of formula (I): in which Z = amino, NR1R2 or O-R1; R1 and R2 = H, opt. branched, unsatd. or -O or -S-contg. alkyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkylalkyl, phenylalkyl or heteroalkyl (max 10C) whereby the phenyl ring is opt. substd. with lower alkyl, alkoxy or halogen; R1 and R2 may be linked either by direct C-C-bond or via-O, -N or -S; R2 may also be phenyl, opt. substd. as signified; salts with physiologically-acceptable acids are included. 8 Cpds. (I) are named e.g. 5-amino-2-(4-methylpiperazil-yl)-benzoic acid methyl ester and corresp. ethyl-, n-propyl, benzyl ester etc. The corresp. starting 5-nitro derivs and the 5-amino-2-(4-methylpiperazin-1-yl) benzoic acid of formula are novel cpds.
