titleOfInvention | RAZOR BLADE OF LAMINATED STRUCTURE AND ITS MANUFACTURING PROCESS |
abstract | The laminated razor blade is made especially from a substrate material with unsatisfactory surface finish or with minimum dimensions which cannot be processed by conventional methods. The cutting edge of the razor blade is joined to the laminated material or an amorphous metal alloy. The first layer can be a thin strip of ceramics, refractory material, or an amorphous alloy and the second and third layers can be thin metal strips. These second and third layers can be thin strips of steel or aluminium, or thin plastics strips. The first lay er thickness is non-uniform and the cutting edges are joined to this material layer. The arrangement enables a cutting edge to be formed at the first layer. |
