Depilatory prod. obtd. by dissolution of carbohydrate - below caramelisation temp. pref. with addn. of glycerol and protein for softening the skin |
abstract |
Novel depilatory prod. is obtd. by dissolution of a carbohydrate at a temp. below its caramelisation temp. The carbohydrate may be partly sorbitol, pure glucose and refined sugar. A prod. having softening action for the skin is obtd. by the addn. of glycerine and proteins. The prod. is very adhesive and is non-hardening, or very little, on application. The absence of fatty material which is usually present in depilatory prods. allows the maintenance of a sharp pH and with a germicidal action. |
