titleOfInvention 2-Thiazole-N-(Piperazino or piperidino) alkyl carboxamides - as hypotensive and anti-hypertensive agents of low toxicity
abstract Thiazole derivs. (I) and their acid addn. cpds. (where R1 and R2 are H or 1-10C alkyl or phenyl or R1 and R2 together form a 3-6C-alkylene chain; R3 is H or 1-6C alkyl; n is 2-6, R4 is alkyl or -alkoxy) and the ethyl 5 propyl-, 5-hexyl, 5-phenyl-, or 4-butyl- 2 thiazole carboxylates; ethyl 4, 5 6, 7-tetrahydrobenzothiazole; and 1-beta-aminoethyl-4-(0-methoxyphenyl) piperidene are new cpds. (I) are hypo-tensive and antihypertensive agents of low toxicity (LD50 (mice, intraperitoneally) 60-350 mg/kg). The cpds. listed under (2) are intermediates for (I).
