abstract Detergent compsn. for cleaning-disinfecting medical equipment, textiles, the skin and the hair contains (I) a cationic ammonium surfactant, and an anionic surfactant of formula (II) (where one of X1 and X5 is RO-(CH2-CH2-O)n-; R is 8-24C alkyl or alkenyl, and n is 2-20; and the other is Y; X2, X3 and X4 are each H, 1-6C alkyl or CH2,COOY; Y is Me or 1-6C alkyl; and Me is Na or K), the molar ratio of (II):(I) being 20-3:1, pref. 10-5:1. Has good detergent and germicidal properties.
