abstract Dichloromethane compsns are stabilised against degradation by reaction with aliphatic cpds. in the presence of metals, metal halides or their mixt. by the addn. of 0.001-2 wt.% of diisopropylamine, N-methylpyrrole, butylene oxide, propylene oxide, methyl acetate, acetone or a technical mixt. of amylenes. Pref. 0.002-1 wt.% of stabiliser is added and methanol may also be added. Partic. useful for stabilisation in the presence of Al, Fe and Zn or their halides. Pref. for use as metal degreasers.
