abstract | Flame-retardant compsn. for application to textiles comprises an aq. soln. of 1-10 molar pts. phosphoric triamide and 1-10 molar pts. tris-aziridinyl phosphine oxide or sulphide. Pref. the soln. contains 1-30% of the active ingredients in the proportion of 2-4 pts. phosphoric triamide to 1 pt. aziridinyl cpd. After application to the fabric it is dried and cured at 125-250 degrees C. With an "add-on" of 5-25% this gives a satisfactory degree of flame-proofing which is resistant to repeated laundering. |
