abstract Title cpd. is applied as a pre-emergence herbicide at 2 kg./Ha. as a wettable powder, has no effect on wheat, groundnuts, barely, rice or carrots. It gives 80-100% kill of various common weeds. As a post-emergence application at the same rate it has no effect on wheat, groundnuts, barley, rice or carrots but causes 98-100% destruction of common weeds. Comparisons with monuron and diuron are made. Cpd. is prepd. by reacting 4-isopropylaniline with N-isopropyl-N-methylcarbamoyl chloride or by reaction of 4-isopropylphenyl isocyanate with N-isopropylmethylamine.
