A liquid detergent, esp. for washing dishes in hard water, comprises (a) a major portion consisting of an oily layer and (b) a minor part consisting of polar substances, (a) comprises an oil having a density lower than that of (b) and (b) comprises an anionic organic synthetic detergent contg. a higher alkyl aryl sulphonate, an alkyl (higher) alkoxy ether sulphate, Mg ions and a lower alcohol. The detergent is present in an amt of 5-60%, the Mg ions in an amount of 0.1-10% and the alcohol in an amount of 5-40% (based on (b)). The ratio (a):(b) is 1-2-1:30. |
