titleOfInvention | Anti-static polyamides - contg reaction prods of polyalkylene - ether-ester with polyamide |
abstract | Antistatic polyamides consist of a synthetic linear polyamide and 0.1-25% wt. of the polyamide, of the product of reaction of a polyalkylene-ether-ester with a polyamide, pref. from an amino carboxylic acid or a lactam, or the reactants producing the polyamide. Pref. the linear polyamide is polycaprolactam or polyhexamethylene adipamide. The polyalkylene-ether-ester is obtd. by reaction of a hydroxypolyoxyalkylenic cpd. pref. a polyoxyalkylene glycol with a polybasic organic acid, partic. an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid, pref. adipic acid. The linear polyamide and reaction cpd. may be melted together and stirred to form the antistatic product, which may be moulded or for drawing into fibres with anti-soiling properties. |
