abstract Chemically resistant components comprise a cast or moulded non-metallic, mechanically strong body and an inner lining or external facing of chemically-resistant fluorocarbon. The main body may be of duromer and the lining of PTFE. The prefd. manufacturing method consists of forming the lining/facing of fluorocarbon, placing it in a mould and then forming the non-metallic body against it. The components are suitable for valves, pump casings and similar applications.
