titleOfInvention Water sterilised for long period - using ozone and halide as minor component
abstract Ozone is introduced into the water as main disinfectant in a quantity sufficient to give a bactericidal action, and a second disinfectant added giving sterilisation over a long period, without affecting the taste or odour of the water. The process is used for sterilising potable water, or water for fisheries. Slightly effective sterilisation is obtd with the ozone, and the second disinfectant enables the water to be maintained in a sterile state over a long period, without affecting its taste or odour. The second disinfectant is iodine or another halogen, except chlorine, or silver or one of its derivs.
