titleOfInvention | New gitoxin derivatives for oral administration |
abstract | Penta-alkylsulphonyl-gitoxin (I) is prepd. by reaction of gitoxin with alkylsulphonyl chlorides whereby all reactive OH groups of gitoxin are esterified to 0.SO2R. Reaction of gitoxin with alkyl isocyanates produces penta-(N-alkylcarbamoyl)-gitoxin (II) by conversion of reactive OH to O.CONHR. In both cases R=C1-4-alkyl. I and II are used for the treatment of cardiac insufficiencies by oral administration. |
