abstract | Insecticide contains O-dimethyl-2,2-dichlorovinylphosphate (DDVP) plus an inert substance of comparable vapour pressure, miscible with DDVP and rendering it hydrophobic. This renders the hydroscopic DDVP resistant to hydrolysis and permits an even evaporation at an adjustable dosage. Esters of fatty acids (mw 220-300) or phthalic acid, or neutral trialkylphosphates are suitable inert substances and the product is pref. applied on a wooden chip-board of open-surfaces structure. |
