abstract | and tri-thio 2,21-bist(t.-butyl 4-toluene) are used as stabilisers and antioxidants for lubricating oils and plastics. Pref. used in concentrations of 0.1-1%. They are more powerful antioxidants than known cpds. and are more oil soluble than dibenzyl disulphide. A synergistic effect is shown when they are used in conjunction with lauryl beta,beta1-thiodipropionate. |
