| abstract |
An insecticide composition for diffusion by vaporization contains DDVP or a related phosphate, together with regulators of evaporation on an inert absorbent support in a perforated envelope of a thermoplastic material. This gives a slow steady evaporation of DDVP into the atmosphere over several months. The support is cellulose or a polymer; the regulator has molecular weight 250, reduces the vapour pressure, and may be a plasticizer. The mixture contains 80% of DDVP; silicones and epoxides may also be included, and there may be a further outer supporting or decorative container. |
