abstract The present invention concerns methods for producing a renewable fuel composition used in maritime transport from a raw material comprising pitch (TOP). The method comprises feeding the raw material from the feed tank (10) to the reactor (20), where hydrogen treatment is carried out. The resulting hydrotreated TOP was fractionated in a distillation unit (60), and the fraction boiling above 360 C at atmospheric pressure was suitable for use as a renewable marine fuel on its own or as a blend with RMG or RMB.
