The downcomer (9) is surrounded by a collar part (12) which covers a gap (13) between the first mouth (3a) of the channel (3) and the downcomer (9), of which at least a part of the collar part (12) breaks down into water. The invention also relates to a method for connecting a water fitting, such as a sink, to a drain pipe system which opens onto the outer surface of a floor.
