titleOfInvention | METHOD FOR OPTIMIZING CHEMICAL BALANCE IN A PULP MILL |
abstract | The present invention relates to a process for optimizing the chemical balance of a sulphate cellulose plant which produces at least chlorine dioxide bleached pulp and which has a chlorine dioxide plant using at least chlorate, methanol and sulfuric acid for the production of chlorine dioxide. The process comprises at least the following steps: a) gases from the plant's highly concentrated uncondensable gases system are burned to produce a gas containing sulfur dioxide, which gas is treated to produce highly concentrated sulfuric acid, and b) crude methanol from the plant processes is purified to produce methanol, and c ) effluents with sodium and / or sulfur compounds generated in the factory processes are used as make-up chemicals, with sulfuric acid produced in step a) and methanol purified in step b) being used in the production of chlorine dioxide so that the concentration of sulfuric acid amounts to 94-99%, preferably to 95-98%, and in step c) sesque sulphate or sodium sulphate generated in the production of chlorine dioxide is used. |
