abstract |
The invention relates to a method for treating nanofibrillar cellulose hydrogel, wherein the method comprises the steps of: providing a nanofibrillar cellulose hydrogel; and subjecting the nanofibrillar cellulose hydrogel to heat treatment, wherein the heat treatment comprises keeping the nanofibrillar cellulose hydrogel at a temperature of at least 130 oC for at least 0.5 seconds, for reducing the number of viable micro-organisms in the nanofibrillar cellulose hydrogel. |
