IT CONSISTS OF REACTING A COMPOUND OF FORMULA (II) WITH IMIDAZOLE OF FORMULA (III), TO OBTAIN TETRAHYDROQUINOLINE-1-IL-CARBONYLIMIDAZOLE DERIVATIVES OF FORMULA (I) WHERE N IS 0, 1, 2 OR 3. THE REACTION IS EFFECTS AT A TEMPERATURE BETWEEN C20JC AND 100JC, UNDER NORMAL ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE AND WITH THE USE OF SOLVENTS OR THINNERS. THEY HAVE APPLICATIONS AS HERBICIDES AND FUNGICIDES IN AGRICULTURE OR HORTICULTURE, WITH LOW TOXICITY FOR WARM BLOOD ANIMALS AND GOOD SELECTIVITY FOR CROP PLANTS.
