3 METHOD FOR THE REMOVAL OF IODIDE COMPOUNDS FROM NON-AQUEOUS ORGANIC MEDIA. IT CONSISTS OF PASSING THE MEDIA CONTAINING THE IODIDE COMPOUNDS THROUGH A MACRORETICULATED STRONG ACID CATION EXCHANGE RESIN, STABLE IN THE ORGANIC ENVIRONMENT AND WHOSE ACTIVE CENTERS ARE CONVERTED IN THE FORM OF SILVER OR MERCURY, AT LEAST 1%. THE ORGANIC MEDIUM IS PASSED THROUGH THE RESIN, AT A FLOW RATE OF 0.2 TO 50 BED VOLUMES PER HOUR, AT A TEMPERATURE OF BETWEEN 17JC AND 100JC.
