IT CONSISTS OF MIXING, JUST BEFORE ITS USE, AN AQUEOUS SOLUTION CONTAINING BETWEEN 0.01 AND 0.6% OF A COMPOUND THAT RELEASES CHLORINE DIOXIDE SOLUBLE IN WATER, SUCH AS SODIUM CHLORITE; AND AN AQUEOUS SOLUTION CONTAINING A WATER SOLUBLE ORGANIC ACID, WHOSE VALUE OF PK IS BETWEEN 2.8 AND 4.2, SO THAT THE PH OF THE SOLUTION IS LESS THAN 7.0, AND A NEIGHBORHOOD POLYHYDROXYL COMPOUND; AND APPLY THE MIXTURE SO OBTAINED TO THE SUBSTRATE, AT ROOM TEMPERATURE. IT HAS APPLICATIONS FOR THE GERMICIDAL TREATMENT OF RECEPTACLES AND UTENSILS FOR FOOD, MEDICAL SUPPLIES AND SKIN DISEASES.
