abstract PROCEDURE FOR THE PREPARATION OF 1-BIS- (4-FLUOROPHENYL) -METIL-4- (3-PHENYL-2-PROPENYL) -HEXAHYDRO-1H-1,4-DIACEPINE OF FORMULA (I), ITS SALTS WITH NON-TOXIC ACIDS , ESPECIALLY DICHLORHYDRATE, AND COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING THESE SUBSTANCES AS AN ACTIVE PRINCIPLE. 1-ETOXICARBONYL-HEXAHYDRO-1,4-DIACEPINE IS REACTED WITH CINAMYL CHLORIDE IN THE PRESENCE OF TRIETHYLAMINE, TO OBTAIN 1-ETOXYCARBONYL-4- (3-PHENYL-2-PROPENYL) -HEXAHYDRO-1,4-DIACEPINE FORMULA (III), WHICH, BY ALKALINE HYDROLYSIS IN ETHANOL, IS TRANSFORMED INTO 4- (3-PHENYL-2-PROPENYL) -1H-HEXAHYDRO-1,4-DIACEPINE OF FORMULA (IV), WHICH IN TURN IS REACTED WITH AN EQUIMOLAR AMOUNT OF BIS- (40FLUOROPHENYL) -CHLOROMETHANE IN THE PRESENCE OF TRIETHYLAMINE IN EXCESS TO GIVE THE 1-BIS- (4-FLUOROPHENYL) -METHYL-4- (3-PHENYL-2-PROPENYL) -HEXAHYDRO-1H-1, 4-DIACEPINE.
