METHOD OF PRODUCTION OF POWDERED METALLIC OXXIDES, WITH REACTIVITY REGULATED BY THE SPECIFIC SURFACE, BY TEXRMIC TREATMENT OF THE CORRESPONDING NITRATES IN THE FORM OF AQUEOUS SOLUTION OR A SOLUTION. IT INCLUDES THE INCOMPLETE DEHYDRATION OF HYDRATED URANIL NITRATE, ALONE OR IN A MIXTURE WITH AT LEAST ONE OF THE THORIUM, CESIUM AND PLUTONIUM NITRATES, AT A TEMPERATURE BETWEEN 160JC AND 300JC; FOLLOWED BY A SECOND STAGE OF DECOMPOSITION OF THE PRODUCT FORMED BY CALCINATION AT A CONTROLLED PRESSURE OF WATER VAPOR, AT A TEMPERATURE BETWEEN 300JC AND 550JC. THESE METALLIC OXIDES HAVE APPLICATIONS TO BE TRANSFORMED INTO NUCLEAR FUELS BY COMPACTING IN THE FORM OF PILLS AND SINTERING. |
