THE SECOND COMPONENT OF THE FIRE-PROOFING SYSTEM IS A METALLIC OXIDE OF THE TYPE OF ALUMINUM OXIDE, IRON OXIDE, MOLYBDENUM OXIDE, PREFERENTIALLY ALUMINE TRIHYDRATE AND IRON OXIDE, IN A QUANTITY INCLUDED BETWEEN 2 AND 40% OF RESERVOIR WEIGHT. A REACTION CATALYST OF THE TYPE OF ORGANIC OR INORGANIC ACIDS IS USED, PREFERENTIALLY O-P-TOLUENSULPHONIC OR SULFURIC ACID. AS EMULSING AGENT, A GLYCOL OR A GLYCOL ETHER IS USED.
