CONSISTS OF THE REACTION OF BENZIMIDAZOLE, OR ITS REACTIVE DERIVATIVE, OF FORMULA (II), WITH A COMPOUND OF FORMULA H-R6, IN WHICH R6 MAY BE ONE OF SEVERAL TYPES OF RADICALS, OR WITH AN N-ACTIVATED AMINE OF FORMULA H -R6. THE REACTION IS CARRIED OUT IN AN INERT SOLVENT, IN THE PRESENCE OF AN ANCILLATING AGENT, A CONDENSING AGENT OR A BASE, AT TEMPERATURES BETWEEN 0JC AND 250JC. THESE COMPOUNDS HAVE PHARMACOLOGICAL APPLICATIONS FOR THE TREATMENT OF HEART FAILURE.
