IT CONSISTS OF THE REACTION OF SN-GLYCERO-3-PHOSPHOCOLINE OR SN-GLYCERO-3-PHOSPHO (N-TRIPHENYLMETHYL) -ETHANOLAMINE OF FORMULA (II) WITH A REACTIVE TRIPHENYLMETHYL DERIVATIVE, SUCH AS A FORMULA TX COMPOUND, IN WHICH T1, R1, R2 AND R3 HAVE THE SAME MEANING THAT IN FORMULA (I) YX IS CHLORINE, BROMINE OR IODINE. THE REACTION IS CARRIED OUT IN AN ORGANIC SOLVENT OR MIXTURE OF SOLVENTS AT A TEMPERATURE BETWEEN ROOM AND THE BOILING TEMPERATURE OF THE SOLVENT. THESE COMPOUNDS HAVE APPLICATIONS AS INTERMEDIATES FOR THE SYNTHESIS OF 1,2-DIACIL-SIN-GLYCERO-3-PHOSPHOCOLINA AND 1,2-DIACIL-SN-GLICERO-3-PHOSFOETANOLAMAS.
