PROCEDURE FOR THE PREPARATION OF NEW DERIVATIVES 4-HYDROXY-A-ETHYL-BENZOLES. IT CONSISTS OF REDUCING A COMPOUND OF FORMULA (II) TO OBTAIN 4-HYDROXY-A-ETHYL-BENZOLES DERIVATIVES IN FORMULA (I) WHERE R1 AND R2 INDEPENDENTLY REPRESENT H, HALOGEN, TRIHALOMETHYL, ALKYL ALCO-C 1-TO-4 , WITH THE CONDITION THAT IF R1 IN H, R2 IS NOT HO A 3-TRIFLUOROMETHYL GROUP, OR IF R1 IS A 2-METHYL GROUP, R2 IS NOT A 5-METHYL GROUP. THE REDUCTIVE SEPARATION OF THE BENCILO GROUP IS EFFECTED BY CATALYTIC HYDROGENATION, USING METALS SUCH AS RUTHENIUM, PALADIUM AND OTHERS AS A CATALYST, MAY ALSO BE CARRIED OUT IN THE PRESENCE OF AN ORGANIC SOLVENT SUCH AS NON-ALCOHOLIC ALCOHOL ALCOHOL ALCOHOLS, NON-ALCOHOLIC ALCOHOLS, NON-ALCOHOLIC ALCOHOLS 506.6 KPA AND AT A TEMPERATURE BETWEEN 20JC AND THE BOILING POINT OF THE SOLVENT USED.
