PROCEDURE FOR THE PREPARATION OF SELF-EXTINGUENT COMPOSITIONS BASED ON THERMOPLASTIC POLYMERS, ESPECIALLY OLEFINIC POLYMERS OR COPOLYMERS, SUCH AS POLYPROPYLENE AND POLYETHYLENE. IT INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING OPERATIONS: FIRST, A WATER-INSOLUBLE NITROGENOUS COMPOUND IS PREPARED, WHICH IS CONSTITUTED BY AN OLIGOMER OR BY A POLYMER OF A DERIVATIVE OF 1,3,5-TRIACINE, AND THAT RESPONDS TO THE GENERAL FORMULA (I), IN WHICH X IS A GROUP OF GENERAL FORMULA: R1-NH, OR A HETEROCICLIC GROUP THAT CONTAINS AT LEAST ONE NITROGEN ATOM IN THE RING; R1 IS AN ALKYL CONTAINING BETWEEN 1 AND 20 CARBON ATOMS, OR A CYCLOALKYL CONTAINING BETWEEN 6 AND 20 CARBON ATOMS; R2 IS A DIVALENT RADICAL OF PIPERACIN; AND N IS AN INTEGRAL NUMBER FROM 2 TO 50; SECOND, BETWEEN 5 AND 8 PARTS BY WEIGHT OF THE WATER-INSOLUBLE NITROGEN COMPOUND ARE COMBINED WITH 10 TO 20 PARTS BY WEIGHT OF AN AMMONIUM OR AMINE PHOSPHATE; AND FINALLY, TO THE FORMED COMPOSITION IS ADDED A PREDETERMINED AMOUNT OF A THERMOPLASTIC POLYMER. |
