IT CONSISTS OF OXIDATING THE 2- (2- (3,5-DIMETHYL-4-METOXY) PYRIDYLMETILTIO) -5-METOXIBENZIMIDAZOL DE FORMULA (II) WITH IODOXIBENZENO DE FORMULA (III), MAKING THE REACTION IN AN ALIPHATIC ORGANIC ACID TEMPERATURE BETWEEN 0 AND 100, IN STECHOMETRIC AMOUNT OF OXIDANT AND IN THE PRESENCE OF A CATALYST, TO OBTAIN A COMPOUND OF FORMULA (I). THE LOWER ORGANIC ALIPHATIC ACID BEING ACETIC ACID AND THE ANHYDRID CATALYST OF TRICHLOROACETIC ACID, RECOVERING AT THE END OF THE REACTION THE IODOBENZENE BY REOXIDATION WITH SODIUM HYPOCHLORITE AND RECYCLED IN THE PROCESS. IT IS USED AS AN INHIBITOR OF THE GASTRIC SECRETION.
