PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING DERIVATIVES OF 3-BENZYLIDENALCAMPHOR, OF FORMULA (I), IN WHICH N IS VALUE 0-4; AND R1, R2 AND Z CAN BE VARIOUS TYPES OF RADICALS. IT CONSISTS OF THE EQUIMOLAR REACTION OF AN AROMATIC ALDEHYDE, OF FORMULA (II), WITH A DERIVATIVE OF CAMPHOR, OF FORMULA (III), IN WHICH R4 IS THE SAME AS R1, YN, R1 AND R2 HAVE THE SAME MEANINGS AS IN FORMULA (I). THE REACTION IS CARRIED OUT IN AN APROTIC, ANHYDROUS SOLVENT, IN THE PRESENCE OF A BASE. THESE COMPOUNDS HAVE APPLICATIONS IN COSMETICS FOR PROTECTION AGAINST ULTRAVIOLET RADIATION. |
