THE REACTION IS CARRIED OUT IN A POLAR SOLVENT SUCH AS DIMETHYLFORMAMIDE, IN THE PRESENCE OF A BASE, AT A TEMPERATURE BETWEEN 0JC AND 200JC. THESE COMPOUNDS HAVE PHARMACOLOGICAL APPLICATIONS DUE TO THEIR ANTIHYPERTENSIVE EFFECT.
