IT CONSISTS IN THE REACTION OF OXIDATION OF DERIVATIVES OF 1,4-DIHIDROPIRIDINA, OF FORMULA (II), IN WHICH ALL THE SYMBOLS HAVE THE SAME MEANING THAT IN THE FORMULA (I). OXIDATION IS CARRIED OUT WITH ONE OF VARIOUS OXIDIZING AGENTS, OR THROUGH ANODIC OXIDATION, IN AN INERT SOLVENT, AT A TEMPERATURE INCLUDING BETWEEN 0º AND 200º. THESE COMPOUNDS HAVE PHARMACOLOGICAL APPLICATIONS FOR THE TREATMENT OF DISORDERS IN THE CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM.
