IT CONSISTS IN REACTING A 2,4-DIAMINOBENZYLPYRIMIDINE OF GENERAL FORMULA (I) IN WHICH R IS METOXY OR METHOXYETOXY WITH A CORRESPONDING AMOUNT OF EMBONIC ACID OR ONE OF ITS ALKALI METAL SALTS IN A SOLVENT, PREFERABLY AT ELEVATED OR BOILING TEMPERATURE ; THEN THE EMBONATE IS ALLOWED TO SEPARATE BY CRYSTALLIZATION BY COOLING THE SOLUTION. THE PRODUCT IS FILTERED, WASHED AND DRIED AND MIXED IN MICRONIZED FORM, IF POSSIBLE TOGETHER WITH A SULFONAMIDE, WITH USUAL AUXILIARY SUBSTANCES AND EXCIPIENTS. THE STARTING SIZE OF THE 2,4-DIAMINO-BENCYL-PYRIMIDINES IS LESS THAN OR EQUAL TO 40 ~LM AND PREFERABLY EQUAL TO OR LESS THAN 10 ~LM.
