THE REACTION IS CARRIED OUT IN AN INERT SOLVENT AT A TEMPERATURE INCLUDING BETWEEN AMBIENT AND 60 C. THESE COMPOUNDS HAVE PHARMACOLOGICAL APPLICATIONS DUE TO THEIR ANTIBACTERIAL ACTIVITY.
