PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING DERIVATIVES OF 2-PIPERAZINO PYRIMIDINE, OF FORMULA (I), IN WHICH X MAY BE ONE OF SEVERAL TYPES OF RADICALS; R IS HYDROGEN OR ALKYL C <- ; E Y E Y ARE HYDROXYL OR CHLORINE. IT CONSISTS OF THE CONDENSATION REACTION OF A DIESTER OF FORMULA ROOCCHXCOOR WITH AN AMIDINE OF FORMULA (II), IN WHICH X AND R HAVE THE SAME MEANING AS IN FORMULA (I) AND R IS LOWER ALKYL; FOLLOWED BY THE EVENTUAL REACTION OF THE PRODUCT OBTAINED WITH A CHLORINATING AGENT, SUCH AS PHOSPHORUS OXYCHLORIDE. THE CONDENSATION REACTION IS CARRIED OUT IN AN INERT SOLVENT, AT THE REFLUX TEMPERATURE OF THE SOLVENT.
